WHO IS ESSEX SPIRITS CO.?

Founded in 2020 Essex Spirits Company is Chelmsford's first operating distillery. Our aim is to create the finest in distilled spirits for the local Essex communities - we do this by incorporating years of hospitality experience, a zero waste sustainability ethos & the most cutting edge modern distillation methods to get the most out of our ingredients.

Essex Spirits Company was founded as a local business with a focus on supporting, championing and supplying the finest of the county's bars & restaurants as well as its population.

We currently operate from our central Chelmsford distillery that we affectionately call 'The Essex Distillery' - we would love to meet you in person as the distillery also holds a shop, tasting room and we hold regular public tours!

Our Taproom is open every Saturday 12pm - 6pm.

ESSEX CITRUS DRY GIN

Essex Citrus Dry Gin is a take on the classic ‘London Dry’ Gin style, it is different in name but only slightly different in style due to our ‘high tech’ production methods.

  • Citrus notes from lime & grapefruit
  • Made using natural Essex Spring water
  • Finished off with a pinch of local sea salt

LOCALLY SPICED RUM

'Locally Spiced Rum' is our take on the ever popular category of spiced rums - using of course our local, quality & sustainable twist on things.

  • A base blend of over proof Caribbean rum
  • Only natural ingredients, no artificial flavours
  • Sweetened with locally produced Honey

ESSEX SPRING VODKA

We use the same base neutral spirit we use for our gins, which is of the highest quality, then proof this down to 40% ABV with naturally filtered & perfectly preserved Essex spring water from our friends at Elsenham spring water.

  • Made with British wheat
  • Made with local spring water
  • Full mouth feel with a light flavour
